ILLUSION OF DEATH, TIME AND SPACE

This is the lecture that I did from the summer, 2011. The Torah portion of Massei. It took place during the three weeks leading up to the 9th of Av. Here I share some of Kabbalist Rav Berg’s profound insights into the illusion of death, the secret of immortal existence and mysteries of time and space.

    Hi Billy,

A refreshing and approachable reading on my ‘birth parshah’. A message that really makes me think and rethink (esp. density vs. space and the role of the ego).

Is it btw also the birth parshah of the Rav? This theme is so woven through his work, that it would be fitting.

    Thanks again!

Watched this 3 times in a row. Thank you for articulating the Rav so well. I would love to learn more about the differences of 1%, psychical ‘space’ you spoke of and the 99% spiritual ‘space’ that is taught by the Ari and later explained by Rav Ashlag in the T.L.E. Your lecture had my mind drawing comparisons of the two.
    Very inspirational and thought provoking!
    Thank You.

WOW! I am not Jewish and grew up in a semi-christian home. As a young person I had eery faith and understanding of the world beyond the norm. I knew things and understood things on a level much deeper or should I say more apparently than what appears to be what everyone else sees. As and adult in college studying advanced logic, philosophy, the old testament, etc. my faith diminished completely. I now struggle constantly with faith and logic and life and death. I don’t entirely understand what really happened or what is happening with what I used to know was absolute truth that I now equivocate my ego protecting itself from the lack of existence it faces. I do know that this is the first thing in many years (besides some Deepak Chopra books) that has made sense. Thank you.
