THE CAUSE OF OUR UNHAPPINESS

The Kabbalists reveal the very reason for our unhappiness in life. This reason is found in an age-old formula that was known to the Kabbalists and it concerns the dynamic of human desire and the influence of ego.

It works like this:

When the ego covets 100, it will work day and night to achieve 100. Once that 100 is achieved, the ego then doubles in size. Now it craves 200. It will now impel you to work and sweat around the clock, 24/7, until you attain 200. When the 200 is achieved, the ego automatically doubles in size and now that emptiness inside of you craves 400.

This cruel formula keeps chugging away so that a man will die at the end of his life miserable and sad at having only fulfilled half of his desires.

It’s quicksand.

The more you seek, the more you sink.

The only way to achieve unending happiness (including biological immortal existence, which is our destiny) is by starving the ego. When you starve the ego, the emptiness inside of you shrinks. Now the desire of your soul, your true desire is free to blossom. You begin to seek out and acquire true assets, true gifts, true blessings, the kind that never wear out and never leave you.

This is how you climb the ladder of true success.

In other words, the ego makes you chase after everything that money can buy with the promise that you will be full of pleasure and happiness. The reason the thrill of a new car or a new house or new clothes eventually wears off, is because the ego has doubled in size. Now you are half fulfilled.

The conquering of the ego is how we acquire everything that is priceless and everything in life that money cannot buy.

Billy, I think that it is common knowledge that the more things you acquire, the more you want.
Please speak about the quest for biological immortal existence…
I think that the Messiah will come when everyone on earth becomes one with the soul of God
and that is when we will achieve immortality.
My knowledge comes from experience, i.e. direct communication from God. Yes, I had a calling
from Him. The knowledge I gained during my Experiences is usually consistent with Kabbalah teachings.
What does the Kabbalah say about the subject of immortality?

I disagree with the premise that the more things you acquire, the more you want. Many people desire financial security as a means to freedom to enjoy life. If your goal is to afford quality health insurance, a nice home, healthy food and nourishment, nice clothes to be presentable, the beauty treatments you need to feel attractive and maintained, a home that’s nicely decorated and is comfortable for oneself and those one invites over, enough money to start a business until if proves lucrative enough to sustain itself on a relatively predictable amount of capital, and/or a good job which earns the income one needs, education, travel, entertainment, things which bring one joy, and the ability to afford within reason that which brings others joy, the security to give back, and a rainy day fund for emergencies, once one has reached relative balance and fulfillment in these areas, one doesn’t require more and more unless they’re a genuinely unhappy person with a hole that will never be filled. Once one has nicely decorated his home, he doesn’t need to fill it with more and more things. The same applies to one’s body, health and beauty. Once you have reached your goal, you don’t require more and more, you just require basic maintenance. Seeking financial security as a means to freedom is not the same as chasing greed or excess. If you’re responsible you figure out how much you need to be happy. It’s not the same for all people, and having more doesn’t mean you constantly need more, it may simply mean you require more to maintain what you have. I actually believe it is the lack of financial security that is the source of unhappiness when financial security itself yields peace of mind.

Even Kabbalah claims that nothing is free. On a daily basis from the moment we wake, we are reminded that nothing is free. I can show you any number of lives which can be easily improved by the existence of money, and that seeking more financial security for the freedom it provides does not mean you need or seek an indefinite, limitless amount to constantly double to reach that security.

Show me someone with a lack of financial security and I will show you the source of unhappiness. Wanting what you can’t afford is the root of unhappiness, but if you want things that you can afford, you will be at peace. This means if you can’t afford it, but want it, it should be your goal to be able to afford it.

Once you have a beautifully renovated and decorated house and the medical coverage or means to obtain the medical appts you need (or fill in the blank with whatever you need), you don’t need an even bigger and more expensive house with more things or more and more medical appts. Once you have reached your goal, you’ve reached your goal and are free to enjoy the fruits of your labor. That’s the reward of freedom. That’s peace of mind.

Hi BTW, please read the whole website and see the articles written, the articles are wonderful, timeless, and will give you infinite wisdom. Billy and the kabbalist’s explain that the creator wants us to have everything, all our desires fulfilled with never ending happiness (paradise on earth) it is the ego that takes away our happiness.

I think you are confusing the material comforts with life with the worship of materialism over God.

    • BTW says:

I wished to emphasize that you can view material goods as “necessities” of life and even appreciate and enjoy them without worshipping them.
