A THREE MINUTE WAR
The great Kabbalist known as the “Genius of Vilna” (Gaon Vilna) said the great war (Gog Magog) that precedes the coming of the Messiah would last only three hours. Imagine, an apocalyptic war lasting only 180 minutes. Three hours. Perhaps a few hundred years ago, that would sound ludicrous. In our day, it makes perfect sense.
A few years ago, the Jerusalem Post reported that if NATO attacks Syria, President Assad said he will fire missiles at Tel Aviv.
Assad said: “All these events will happen in three hours, and in the following three hours, Iran will attack the US warships in the Persian Gulf and the US and European interests will be targeted simultaneously.”
There are other ways as well to wage a war that ends in three hours.
Splitting the atom will accomplish the same task.
Only the Zohar and inner change can alter destiny!
We can wage war against our internal enemy, the human ego, or we can engage in a war between external nations.
This Purim, let’s spend at least three hours tapping into the power of miracles that avoid mass destruction. Through the reading of the scroll, an ancient technology far more powerful than physical weapons, we can transform evil into good, darkness into Light provided, it begins within us. The more of the enemy (our egocentric traits) we can target this weekend, the greater Light we reveal. If enough people make the changes within, the world will reflect these changes externally. Internal warfare prevents external warfare. This is the responsibility that lies in the hands of Israelites and those who walk the path of Kabbalah.
When we reach the point of ultimate happiness and joy during the Purim Party, we can correct and literally transform the root of our own negativity, a realm that is the seed of all evil, known as “Haman.”
It begins with us.
It ends with miracles blossoming all over the world if we go the distance.

Besides attending the event an participating is there a specific way to target and eliminate your own negative traits during Purim? Or should it be a global target too?
target it on the shabbat before purim. find as many egocentric traits as possible. ask people to tell you what you need to fix. the ones you are most disbelieving of, the ones you are in most denial, the traits you cannot believe you have, THOSE are the ones that are true. If its easy to identify, odds are its not a negative trait. Its the ones that you reject and get angry about when people point it out to you. its the ones you dont even see or recognize yet. On purim, the goal is happiness.
A great story but 3 hours is 180 minutes!
