EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE!
For JANUARY 14th, 2014
Here it is. Bite-size bits of wisdom as profound and deep as they are simple, short and sweet. This is the wisdom of the ages, the oldest wisdom on earth, the wisdom that not only makes one more knowledgeable, but also elevates the soul and our consciousness, which makes us more pure, clear, enlightened and deeply contented.
Here we go:
1. We are all born religious. We’re religious about religion, science & atheism. Religious means intolerance. We must banish religiosity by banishing our own intolerance, eradicating our narrow-mindedness and letting go of our long-held opinions—about everything! Then miracles will unfold!
2. Our good traits will never change the world or our own lives. Never! Finding our worst traits & changing them, by admitting them, even a little, is how we elevate our world. Stop defending yourself — especially when you’re convinced you’re right! Stop trying to win the point, win the moment and win the argument. That is a sucker’s bet! Why? It provides temporary gratification coupled with long-term nasty chaos. If you surrender, miracles will unfold!
3. The biggest illusion? The word “mine.” Nothing is “mine”! Nothing is ours! All thoughts & ideas come from either the Light or the Dark/ego. We channel one or the other. If we doubt this, if we deny this, we are channeling the dark side. When we realize that our only free will is to choose the will of the soul over the will of our ego, miracles will unfold!
4. This week’s Torah portion features the revelation on Mount Sinai and the two Tablets of Moses! Kabbalist Rav Berg said there is a profound reason why this most important reading of the entire year, featuring the biggest event in human history, is called Jethro!
Jethro was not an Israelite.
Jethro was a gentile!
A gentile has the honor, distinction and merit to have the most important Torah reading named after him.
What’s the lesson?
It is through the sharing of the Light of Sinai, which is the Hidden Light called Zohar, with all the gentile nations that will bring about our Final Redemption and restore the immortality that was lost back on Sinai.
I miss the Rav’s lectures.
When we start living the teachings of the Rav’s lectures, miracles will unfold!
FREE webinar with Billy Phillips
In this free webinar, Billy shares some powerful insights about Jesus and the Messiah riding a Donkey and why the secret teachings of Jesus are coming out at this point in history. He also reveals a startling redacted section of Zohar that was taken out back in the middle ages.
I miss HaRav 2
Thank you for these Priceless Nuggets Billy!!!
I do have one question though. In Kabbalah we are told “‘Gentile’ is a Code Word which represents someone who does not have a powerful & intense Desire to Receive”.
My notes from last night’s Zohar class read that indeed Jethro had a Huge Desire. He Desired to Receive wisdom and knowledge, as well as a True Connection. That he was on the path his entire life to search for the Truth & the Light. At every stage of his life was his Desire to grow and reach a Higher Truth because he was Looking for change and transformation.
While everyone around him was negative (this was his path to finding the Truth) he was able to ‘Hear’ the Truth (because of his Huge Desire) and Know it to be so. Jethro merited to have a Portion named after him because his consciousness was Unlimited in his search for a Higher Truth.
I know he lived negatively, I know he was one of Pharaoh’s advisers, but his quest and Desire was to Receive (even though for the self alone it would seem) was endless and Unlimited.
We were made aware in the Zohar Lecture to Constantly search for Higher Truth. Indeed to never feel like we “Got It” -to never Settle and to remove our limited consciousness by auditing our thoughts and actions, and always going Beyond.
I consider my self a Gentile only because of my need to work on myself to Grow my Desire to Receive. I am constantly helping others, doing for others, forever saying YES, even though I do it for The Light. I recognize the need for Balance (3 column system) and must say NO more often with the consciousness for the Desire to Receive (for the Sake of sharing). I find it very hard indeed to say No, so my life is a little stuck right now, lol.
But I don’t see it with Jethro.
So do you say Jethro was a Gentile because he was with Pharaoh and not an Israelite?
I can understand the Nations being Gentiles, but can you please explain How this pertains to Jethro and his quest and never ending Desire?
Can you please elaborate on How his Desire to Receive (for the Sake Alone) got him a Portion in the Torah vs. our need for the Desire to Receive for the Sake of Sharing?
Thank you Kindly, I look forward to your reply.
Yours Always,
Alina.
The key to Jethro was Mose’s humility, Moses representing a truly transformed egocentric, selfish individual (growing up in the House of Pharaoh) into the greatest spiritual and transformed being on earth. This is what touched Jethro deep inside. Rav Ashlag teaches that just as every Israelite has a body and soul — so does the world. Israelites are the soul, the gentiles nations are the body. When Israelites allow their own ego and self interest to rule over their soul, the gentile nations rule over the Israelites. The gentile nations ALSO have this same structure. The gentile nations have both body and soul. Jethro would be one of the souls of the gentile nations. When Israelites allow their ego to dominate their soul, the gentile nations dominate over Israelites and NOW the body of the gentiles (ego) will rule over the soul of the gentiles. This is what accounts for negative leaders in the gentile nations ruling over all of the kind and good souls of the majority of people.
Look, everyone has a desire to connect to the Light. The gentiles as much as the Israelites. But its the Israelites, as the heart of humanity, that must pump the blood (Light) to all the other organs. Those other organs need the blood just as much as the heart. But its the function of the heart to nourish the organs with blood. If the heart fails to do its job, disease and sickness set in.
There is nothing else i can add. I am just sharing what the Rav shared about Jethro and how this portion on Revelation and Immortality was named after a gentile and that it teaches us something very profound.
Hope this helps!!
