THE BOTTOM LINE CORONAVIRUS LESSON

I knew, without question, something negative was brewing over the last few years because the divide and disunity was at Civil War levels, but this time it was done through the power of human speech and not guns. I kept telling my wife something is going to blow.

You see, speech, according to the Zohar, has the power to alter reality because speech is the manifestation and garment of human consciousness and consciousness creates reality. Period.

If we do not learn the lesson of our disunity and indignity towards one another, the judgments will be harsh. And then harsher.

We had a chance to strike a lasting unity after 9/11.

It lasted a week.

Everyone tasted the amazing oneness after the Twin Towers went down. But they did not change. Self-interest and egocentric reactive behavior took over.

Now we are paying the price.

Now pay close attention: If we change now, ONLY because we are afraid of the virus and spooked by true uncertainty and panic, it will NOT help. There must be true change. From within. Towards others. For good. For lasting effect.

We need a bona fide elevation of human consciousness where we realize life is not about winning debates and battles and arguments against other people. That’s the test we came to pass. That’s the sucker’s bet.

Rather, life is about learning the art of coming together with people who have opposite views about life. Because if God, if the Light, is truly infinite, then both sides are included in the infinite Light. So the real purpose of life on earth is to rise above the ego and find common ground and dignity towards others. We must agree to disagree and know there is a higher truth, beyond our own narrow-minded tightly held opinions.

It’s that simple.

We are here to learn how to treat someone who is totally opposite of us in their believes, opinions, views and interests with dignity. Period. Not convince them. Not sell them. Not defeat them.

This is why for both Christians and Jews, the one precept that the ancient Kabbalists say we came to learn is Love thy Neighbor as Thyself.

But in even simpler terms, the Kabbalists said, in truth, what we must live by is the simple command that says, Do Not Do Unto Others, that Which is Hateful to You.

That’s it.

True love for others will ONLY come when the Opponent, inside of us, is defeated and paradise and biological immortality arrive. We call this the Messiah.

We must unleash the Messiah within in order to have the external Messiah arrive. The Messiah which simply means, do not let the ego decide your happiness and compel you to treat others with anything less than human dignity.

Once we do that simple (but not easy task) the world will transform before our very eyes. This behavior will unleash miracles all over the planet.

Simple dignity. Simple kindness. Simple control over own reactive behavior.

I know. It’s too simple. We hate simplicity. Our ego prefers complicated complex discourses on the meaning of life and the nature of reality and the best political systems to govern the planet, and on and on and on.

But it is that simple. We came to get along.

Jew and Muslim. Christian and Jew. Hindu, Buddhist, and every other spiritual, religious or non-religious group on this great green planet.

The same way the human body is made up of diverse organs, each one performing different functions to create one healthy human being (virus free), each nation, each religion, each political party, each opinion on earth is part of the diverse “organs” that make up the body of humanity.

When there are fractures in our relationships with our fellow human beings that is a weakened and fractured immune system.

And then come global pandemics.

Lose the fear.
By losing the ego.
Start caring about your competitor instead of trying to crush them because they are another limb and organ in the same cosmic body as you.

You cannot be in fear mode when you are helping others. When you are reaching out to improve a broken or competitive relationship.

Do this, and we will all be enveloped by true blazing Light, miracles and peace and it will all flow throughout the entire world.

We will be so freaking happy and contented and joyous, we won’t know what hit us.

(Now the ego will try to make you doubt this very truth).

Roll up your sleeves and get to work on being a human being…towards your friends and foes in your personal life.
