POPE RESIGNS

I received a few emails asking if I could share any Kabbalistic insights into the sudden resignation of Pope Benedict. All I can do is share what I learned from Kabbalist Rav Berg. Any change in the world that takes place within the religious authority and political establishment is merely an EFFECT and not the cause of any global change. It is we, the people of the world, who changed, to what ever degree, that causes events to transpire on the world stage.

The Opponent (the ego within) tries to convince us that these high-profile events are the cause of significant change but, in fact, they are not. They are the effects of things that have already taken place within the realm of our collective human consciousness. Kabbalists strive for global change in the hidden 99% realm, which is the dimension of our behavior, our thoughts and our level of consciousness.

Yes, there has to be people working to change things on the material level of existence. But those changes are only to relieve the symptoms and bring relief and aid to events that have already taken their toll upon us.

Kabbalists and students of Kabbalah focus on inner transformation, letting our egos get crushed, or least, diminished, sharing Zohars and have total certainty that the effect of these types of transformative actions in the 99% will bring about positive change in governments and the religious institutions as they operate in the 1%.

The Zohar is clear: The religious establishment of “Judaism” Christianity and Islam are corrupt. Period. So are all governments. But its our fault, not the fault of those in power. When we change, the world changes.

It is always so tempting to focus on what our eyes see and what our ears hear. But no causative change happens on the physical dimension. And our doubts about this truth are also because of the ego, because the ego will do anything to prevent its destruction.

I try to keep my focus on my own ugly behavior and then I watch the world of science, religion, and politics to see if there is unusual and illogical changes taking place. The more illogical and surprising the change, the more positive our work has been.

The Pope’s resignation was unexpected.

Everything is leading us to our Redemption and the ultimate removal of pain, suffering and darkness from lives of all mankind.

While everything in this world is an effect of events in the spiritual world, we have to remember that our very existence here is to partner with the creator and stimulate the spiritual from below. It is a key Torah concept that is expounded in Kabbalah

    • you have to stimulate below by FIRST changing your consciousness and then doing physical actions. a physical action is a physical action. what changes is your consciousness. you respond to someone who insults you with anger because they had no right to insult you. that is one physical action. and you can respond to a person who insults you with love in your heart knowing you deserved the insult as a result of tikun and karma, but you respond to share with the person, not because you are victim. in both cases, you had to respond. but the consciousness flips 180 degrees from being a victim, to being accountable, from anger to love. so once again, it all begins in the 99% realm of consciousness.

I wait each day to get a devotional to start my day. I just read one based on
1 John 3 1-2. It was explaining just what you have provided us Billy. “You must accept the things in this realm, both negative and positive, as a way to find Gods grace.” I then read your comments and find it amazing how He speaks to us and provides the days wisdom just as He intends.

Hi Billy; I was just wondering if you could provide some Kabbalistic insights on the passages of the Gospels I share below. This took place during the “Last Supper” (or more likely a Passover dinner).

Although many catholics don’t know this, the Catholic Church understands this to mean literally eating flesh and drinking blood and calls the phenomenon of the host turning into flesh and the wine into blood “transubstantiation” and it is the basis for the Eucharist, the central part of Mass, which in turn is the main pillar of catholicism.

Now, I know bread represents desire to receive and the blood carries the sparks of the soul (therefore the kosher restrictions), so it seems to me that the Church misinterpreted this when it took it literally,… but what might Rabbi Yehoshua really been refering to when he said eat my body and drink my blood?

    Thanks

    Luke 22:19
And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
    Luke 22:20
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
    John 6:54
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

    • I am not an expert on the New Testament but the Zohar says who ever takes the Bible literally, its better that they had never been born. So, to understand the concept of “flesh” a little better, let’s just look at a passage of Zohar. It’s deep and I have not had time to delve into it and i have not learned about this from Rav Berg, so I post it for the simple sake of reading it and hopefully helping you find a little more insight.

“During Shabbat and Festivals, THE SOULS take off THEIR GARMENTS and ascend to see the glory of their Master and to delight with the supernal Delight properly, as it is written, “‘And it shall come to pass, that every new moon, and every Shabbat, shall all flesh come to bow down to the ground before Me,’ says Hashem” (Yeshayah 66:23). HE QUESTIONS, Will all flesh come? It must not be so, instead it should have been written, ‘Every spirit or every soul.’ What is the meaning of “all flesh?” HE ANSWERS, The Holy One, blessed be He, has made for Man in this world the likeness of the honor of the supernal glory above, WHICH IS THE SECRET OF WISDOM OF THE 32 PATHS, AS MENTIONED ABOVE. That supernal glory is a spirit to spirit, AS IT ILLUMINATES UPON ZEIR ANPIN WHICH IS CALLED ‘SPIRIT’, and a soul to soul, AS IT ILLUMINATES TO BINAH THAT IS CALLED ‘SOUL’, until it reaches a place below that is called ‘body’, NAMELY MALCHUT. It inserts in it one spirit of the source of life that is called ‘all’, WHICH IS YESOD. This is the secret of, “Moreover, land has an advantage for everyone (lit. ‘all’).” (Kohelet 5:8). ‘All’ is a spirit for that body.”

So it might be a reference to the different levels in the Tree of Life, who knows.
well thanks Billy, always good to study and connect to the Zohar.
