MUMMIES AND THE TRUE ORIGIN OF HEART DISEASE
For the last few decades, medical science has been telling us that eggs, pastrami sandwiches, fried chicken, steaks and other foods in our modern-day diet that are high in saturated fats raise the risk for developing heart disease and heart attacks.
Too much bad cholesterol and bad fats in our blood, says science, causes plaque to form on the artery walls and it clogs our arteries.
Good cholesterol and good fats, says science, actually helps to clear our arteries and promotes a healthy cardiovascular system. Medical science only discovered the role of good and bad cholesterol and good and bad fats in the last few decades.
Well, the Zohar said the exact same thing two thousand years ago! The Zohar refers to the good fats as “pure fatty parts..clean blood without waste matter.”
The Zohar describes the bad fats as fatty parts that are ritually impure and offered to the arteries of the heart by the liver, causing disease and death.
The Zohar goes on to say that both good and bad fats are produced by the liver. The Zohar says the liver will either absorb the good fats from the blood and offer the bad fats into our blood stream and arteries leading to disease, or the liver can filter the bad fats from the blood and offer the good fats to our blood and arteries. By the way, when I showed these and other verses to cardiologists from Harvard and some physicists, they were stunned (see the comments by Harvard-trained cardiologist Dr. Artur Spokojny at the end of article)! The Zohar reads like a modern-day medical journal.
There is one profound and life changing difference between the Zohar and medical science concerning the cause of these blockages in our arteries as a result of bad fats:
Science blames our modern-day diet and the foods we eat.
The Zohar lays the blame on human behavior.
Our failure to understand this significant difference has led to coronary artery disease as being the number one killer of mankind, far higher than cancer.
Well, medical science has just encountered a shockwave. This shockwave made headlines around the world a few days ago.
THE MUMMIES
A dream team of top medical scientists including cardiologists, anthropologists and radiologists cat-scanned 137 mummies. Do you know what they found out? Hardening of the arteries has been around for four millennia!
“Heart disease has been stalking mankind for over 4,000 years all over the globe,” said cardiologist Dr. Randall Thompson.
In an article in the Los Angeles Times, Dr. Gregory Thomas, part of the 19 member science team, said that ancient people suffered from cardiovascular disease the exact same way modern people do today. That’s somewhat puzzling, Thomas said, because unlike us,these ancient people didn’t have access to fast food. On the contrary, Thomas said, “they’re living off the land — what we’d think of as the healthiest diet you could eat. And yet they have atherosclerosis too.”
Thomas, who is the medical director of the MemorialCare Heart and Vascular Institute in Long Beach Memorial was convinced that medical science understood the cause of heart disease prior to this latest study on the mummies. “We want to believe that we can prevent heart disease, that we don’t have to get it if we do the right things and go back to nature,” said Thomas. “I believed it too, until we scanned these people.”
THE ZOHAR ON THE ORIGINS OF HEART DISEASE
The Zohar explains that the liver is the seat of our egocentric and our reactive behavior. The Zohar says when we are governed by self-interest, the liver offers the impure fats to the arteries of the heart and the body causing disease. The Zohar says the arteries of the heart is where the influence of our soul dwells. When we resist our ego and anger, when we let go of self-interest by considering the dignity and interest of our competitor, friend or enemy, the liver filters the bad fats and only offers the pure fats to the arteries of our heart and liver.
It’s that simple. But it’s definitely not easy.
Mankind has been engaged in conflict with his fellow-man for 4,000 years and thus we have endured cardiovascular disease for 4,000 years.
The ego is the most difficult influence to both recognize and give up. We love our ego. We are addicted to our ego. And we do not even believe that it exists as a separate entity.
Therein lies the ultimate problem; humankind has failed to understand that two forces of consciousness exist within us.
1. Our true soul and its desires
2. Our egocentric desires.
The Zohar and Torah refer to the ego as the Satan, which means Adversary. It’s called an Adversary because it opposes our true desires that emanate from our very essence, the soul. The ego controls our behavior and it does so by convincing us that it does not exist. We simply do not believe that the ego is a separate force that is sabotaging all our behavior, our health and our lives. We do not believe the force of Satan is an actual wave of consciousness that rules the “airwaves” of our mind.
We know something is bad for us, yet we do it anyway. Knowing something is bad is the recognition of our soul. Doing it anyway is the influence of our ego. Knowing something is good and beneficial for ourselves, is the understanding of our soul. Procrastinating and not following through on something positive, is the ego sabotaging our soul, and making us blind about it the egocentric influence in the process.
We do not know that we are on this earth to battle this internal ego and remove it from the landscape of human consciousness, and in turn, the landscape of the physical reality. As we diminish the ego, we diminish the bad fats that clog our arteries in our body and also the arteries that connect us to other people.
The Zohar is clear about this: Once the ego has been eradicated from enough people on earth, relationships will blossom and then the floodgates of innovation in civilization will explode wide open paving the way for the transformation of the world that will include biological immortality, a perfected world and unending human happiness. Only the ego, as a self-defense mechanism, makes this truth about our fate seem unreal or impossible.
THE ARTERIES OF LIFE
All of our relationships in life are arteries. We have relationships and arteries in business through which prosperity can flow. We have arteries in our marriage through which passion and excitement flows. We have arteries connecting us to our friends and our children and our siblings. It is through these arteries that flow the blessings, energy, passion, love and Light that ignite all of our relationships.
When we live under the rule of ego, we clog these arteries and now the flow of blessings is diminished. Any problem in life, be it in a marriage or a business or in our personal health, it is all caused by “blockage” in these arteries.
The whole Kabbalistic system of the Ten Sephirot, also known as the Tree of Life, is all about the cosmic arteries through which the Light of the Creator flows into our world.
Nothing will change in regards to this 4,000 year problem of heart disease until we finally unmask the force of consciousness known as the Satan. The Opponent. The Adversary. The ego.
The Kabbalists also warn us: The very essence of this negative adversarial force is doubt. And skepticism. And cynicism. That means, the closer we get to unmasking the Satan, the more doubt we will have about his existence.
Yes, it’s a tough battle. But now, science and Kabbalah are both in agreement about the existence of bad fats and good fats in our blood stream and its effect on our arteries. We just need to come together on the causes behind the existence of the bad fats and good fats. Medical science will hopefully start to realize that it’s never something external or physical that is the ultimate cause of disease. It’s always consciousness. Science will keep researching and testing and probing until they finally reach the point that the answer to all of life’s problems comes down to one underlying cause.
It’s our behavior.
Towards one another.
Period.
And the more we doubt this profound truth, the more we are under the very influence of our ego. And therefore, with each doubt, we are allowing our liver to clog our arteries with even more bad fats.
The very act of doubting that our behavior causes heart disease serves to lead us closer to heart disease.
As Kabbalist Rav Berg said a few short years ago: “We can no longer afford to have doubts.”

Thank you Billy. You are truly my Lodestar – I am always so delighted and encouraged when I read one of your posts. This article only affirms and confirms my views on “illness” generally. Thank you again.
it is exciting to see how close we are to opening everyone’s eyes to the spiritual truth 🙂 thank you billy!!!
Thank you for reminding me of this I have forgotten some of this information over the years we get so busy with our everyday life and we let things slip. Thank you again.
