EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE

NOVEMBER 26, 2013

Here it is. Bite-size bits of wisdom as profound and deep as they are simple, short and sweet. This is the wisdom of the ages, the oldest wisdom on earth, the wisdom that not only makes one more knowledgeable, but also elevates the soul and our consciousness, which makes us more pure, clear, enlightened and deeply contented.

Here we go:

1.  When you think you’re a somebody, you’re really a nobody. When you become a nobody, you really become a somebody. As Kabbalist Rav Berg explains, nobody means no-body — as in, no physicality or body consciousness, better known as ego.

2. Arrogance, cockiness & a stubbornness are ego. But so is low self-esteem, shyness & fear. Thinking you are the best or thinking you are the worst– both thoughts stem from ego. Believing you can do no wrong or believing you can do nothing right — these are also incited by the inner ego. Ego lives at both ends of the spectrum. Ego is our rational, reactive and reflex behavior and thoughts.

3. Trying to fix our life in this physical world is like trying to lift ourselves out of quicksand. It cannot be done. In fact, the more we try, the deeper we sink. Only help from outside this dimension can free us. Kabbalah is our daily connection to higher dimensions which are like a hand from heaven lifting us out of our mess.

4.  Pray for the change of your character, NOT for something you want to receive. Character change opens up the gates of heaven igniting blessings both spiritual & physical.

Dear Billy, thank you. I try so hard not to react, but I always do!! However, at least I pray that G-d will change my nature as I realize only too well that it is quite impossible for me to do it myself. Your words of wisdom are so welcome and much needed. xx
