A RANT BEFORE LAG B’ OMER

Tomorrow night we unleash the power of Kabbalist Rav Shimon bar Yochai. Here are few hard truths from the Zohar.

Telling people to love others wont’ bring world peace and it absolutely will not bring about the Messiah. The love message has failed for 2000 years, in case you haven’t noticed.

So stop! Stop preaching love. Stop preaching kindness.

Instead, let’s start admitting our negative and ugly traits. As we remove them, love flows naturally. Get it? That’s the secret.

Love is the effect of losing ego. We can only share what we have. If we have ego, we can’t love truly & unconditionally. What we call love is not true love. It’s need. It’s all about we receive and not what we give.

Kabbalah’s tools strike the ego. Thats why this path is so damn difficult. But the result of those who have the guts and madness to walk it, the result will be love for others. True love. And then you will be connected and protected.

Its so easy to say I love you. It’s so easy to say we should all just love one another and get along. But how the hell are we supposed to get there when the ego dominates our consciousness and we don’t even know it?

We actually believe that our egocentric desires are pure and real and good for everyone else’s benefit. Baloney. The only way to heaven is to go through hell. The ego is hell. Specifically, the act of finding it, and admitting it. Boy is it hell. But it leads to heaven. Make no mistake.

And this is what Kabbalah achieves. It removes the blockages — the ego — that stop us and prevent us from loving others naturally. True love can only occur when the ego is completely transformed. People hate losing their ego. It’s easier to belong to a spiritual group that preaches love, kindness and tolerance. Much harder to walk a path that uproots those painful blockages of ego and self-centeredness which prevent us from loving, being kind and having tolerance in the first place.

This is why Jesus preached repentance. Repentance, according the Zohar, means digging up our egocentric traits that have caused us to be unkind, uncaring and selfish and totally transforming. The result will be Love Thy Neighbor once we finish the job of transforming. The word repentance has been totally corrupted.

If enough people in the world started laying their egocentric traits on the table, exposing their faults, revealing their flaws, instead of clapping and singing and praising God, we would change the world in about 5 minutes flat. Praising God means to expose the blockages (selfishness, negative character traits, everything we are ashamed of) and putting them out there unconditionally. Because once all the blockages and the things we hide are exposed, there is no more hiding place for the Light of the Creator. The Light hides behind the ego. Once you expose the hiding place, the Light shines. Talk about an act that “praises God”.

Wanna talk about tomorrow being the end of the world? Let it be the end of the excuses we make, the protecting of our ego, the wishing love, and joy to everyone. Let’s end that charade now. That world did not work. Instead let us all search inward and start exposing our faults, our ego, our crimes and misdemeanors. Let’s conquer the fear and shame we have about doing just that and realize, if we do it proactively, the Light of Mercy will be awakened and through the Zohar, we will change with kindness instead of judgment. It will hurt, it will sting, but will also lead us to a new world of peace and miracles.

Let the old world and way of doing things come to an end. Tomorrow night. On Lag B’ Omer.

And start living the teachings of the Zohar, Rav Shimon Bar Yochai, and Jesus, the man sent to the gentile world to bring them the true wisdom of Zohar so we can achieve peace on earth.
