ROSH HASHANAH DEEPER SECRETS

Rosh Hashanah offers many powerful tools and opportunities to take control over our destiny. How? By taking control over the twelve months that immediately follow it. In this article on the Kabbalistic Insights into Rosh Hashanah, we share some profound secrets concerning our physical, spiritual, emotional, and even financial health during the next year. This article is a bit more advance so I suggest we re-read it a couple of times to fully absorb the power of the Zohar’s teaching.

First we will address the origins of heart disease and see how the Shofar can unblock our arteries and bring about good health and well being. Keep in mind, the definition of arteries includes our relationships, which are the arteries through which passion, success, love, and peace flow through into our lives. Those arteries also become blocked affecting marriages, businesses, and our bodies.

By the way, this next section is pretty amazing when you consider that it was written down 2000 years ago. As you will soon see, only in the last few decades did medical science discover what the Zohar already knew 2000 years ago.

THE LIVER AND ANGER, ACCORDING TO THE HOLY ZOHAR

According to the Zohar, our reactive emotions, notably anger, intolerance, impatience, manifest in our liver! What does this mean, practically?

A remarkable insight concerning Rosh Hashanah and our liver is presented in the following text of Zohar:

“From the liver and the appendage, emerges the gall, which is the sword of the Angel of Death, from which come bitter drops to kill human beings.”

—Zohar Vol. 20

The Zohar then says that the gall:

“Overcomes the arteries of the heart and all the arteries in the limbs of the body”

—Zohar Vol. 20

What is gall?

Interestingly, gall is defined by Merriam Websterís Dictionary as both “bile” and “bitterness of spirit” or “rancor.”

This definition reinforces the Kabbalistic viewpoint that a vital connection exists between human behavior and physical health.

Even more amazing, it is the liver that secretes gall (bile), and guess what?

The primary component of bile is cholesterol!

2000 years ago the Zohar is speaking about cholesterol overcoming the arteries of the heart and liver in response to anger, selfishness and reactive behavior. Utterly incredible. Why?

Because only in the last fifty years did medical science tell us that high levels of cholesterol are a major cause of atherosclerosis, the hardening and blockage of arteries, one of the most frequent causes of heart disease and death.

The Zohar is saying that anger and egocentric behavior goes directly to the liver, which then creates cholesterol which “overcomes the arteries of the heart…” and eventually brings disease and death.

Medical science only understood the function of the liver  and its role in cleaning the blood and furnishing this blood to the heart in last 100 years. 2000 years ago the Zohar stated:

“…The liver receives the blood and serves it to the heart”

—Zohar, Vol. lV

So how does this medical insight connect to Rosh Hashanah?

All the anger and negative reactive emotions that we’ve expressed throughout the year appear during Rosh Hashanah as an indictment against us.

In other words, all the negative energy and blockages that we have aroused through our anger manifests as the potential for illness and heart related diseases caused by the liver, according to the Zohar. It stands there, ready to penetrate the seed of our year. Each reaction, each act of selfishness creates blockages. These blockages can appear as fat that clog our arteries, according to the Zohar. An unbelievable insight!

The Shofar is used to purify us, to remove these negative forces and and unblock the blockages from our arteries and cardiovascular system.

Through the Shofar, good cholesterol levels rise while bad cholesterol levels decrease. Our blood is cleansed of toxins. The arteries are cleared of deadly deposits and plaque. All because we planted a seed free of negative energy at Rosh Hashanah, the one opening in the entire year where we can manipulate and control the seed and head (rosh) of the entire year.

HARDENING OF ALL ARTERIES

This profound idea extends further. The “hardening of the arteries” — which really means blockages that prevent blood (or Superhal Light) from flowing — can also occur in other areas of our life!

Essentially, all of our relationships in life are “arteries.” Therefore, a blockage can occur in a marriage relationship. For instance, when this particular artery is blocked, love and passion no longer flow between two people. Call it a heart attack or death in a marriage. If the arteries between two friends are blocked, the friendship undergoes a heart attack or stroke or death.

Our various business relationships are also arteries.

The money and prosperity that flows to us through the deals we make or the work we do, travels through these “arteries”. When they are clogged good fortune fails to flow to us. This is why we incur financial and career hardship in our lives. The “financial” arteries are blocked. Plain and simple.

Also, we need to realize that if we cheat in business, these blockages might very well end up in the physical arteries in our body. Therefore, we might prosper in business as a result of unscrupulous behavior, but we pay for it with hardening of the arteries and a triple bypass.

There is a connection. There is always a connection. It is only the ego that makes us think life is random and chaotic and disconnected.

THE ARTERIES OF LIFE

All the relationships in the world — between people, between business partners, between buyer and seller, between brother and sister, between husband and wife, between parents and children, between one nation and another — these are all metaphysical arteries that can become blocked and cause disease and death when humans behave with intolerance.

Each time you interact with someone in your life — friend or stranger, enemy or family member — you are affecting the “arteries” in your life, and in the world. Those mood spells that we experience dramatically impact our life, whether we know it or not. And so does our envy. And also our denial of all these negative traits.

So, if our behavior in these relationships is governed by reactive impulse and self-interest, it creates a “fatty deposit.” If these blockages continue to grow and are left unchecked, “disease” sets in.

The “disease” can then manifest as poverty, war, divorce, kids on drugs, dysfunctional family, global terrorism, or a good old-fashioned heart attack!

Make no mistake: It is our own behavior that determines whether or not we have a great year or a rotten year, or something in between.

Terrorism, business problems, natural disasters, failed marriages, corrupt governments, war, personal problems like sickness, disease and anxiety, these are all the effects! The underling cause is always our behavior, no matter how much the ego tries to convince us otherwise.

Any chaos in our life is caused by a blockage that prevents the supernal, infinite Light Force  from flowing freely into our lives.

UNCLOGGING OUR SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL ARTERIES

Rosh Hashanah, when empowered with the wisdom of Zohar as presented in this article, eliminates the blockages, purifies your being and allows you to plant a positive seed of peace and prosperity for the coming year.

Now isn’t that better than attending a fashion show, which is how most people treat Rosh Hashanah at their local synagogue?

So how does all this correlate to world peace?

Glad you asked…

WORLD PEACE

Israel, according to the Zohar, is the cosmic counterpart of the human heart. In other words, the entire planet and all the nations are a mirror of the human body. And each individual is a microcosm of the world.

Israel functions as the beating heart of mankind. Israel’s relationship to the rest of the world corresponds to the arteries that carry blood and oxygen to the rest of the body. The “nations of the world” correspond to the body’s organs and limbs.

Therefore, the same way that the heart supplies purified blood to nourish the body, Israel furnishes spiritual Light to aid, nourish and heal all the nations of the world.

Guess what?

If Israel does NOT furnish spiritual Light to the nations, they rise up against her, just as the body responds with disease if toxic blood courses through our veins.

But you know what? Just as our remorse for our own personal negative deeds, combined with the sounds of the Shofar, can now remove the “fats and blockages” in our arteries, our personal effort at Rosh Hashanah removes conflicts and barriers and blockages between Israel and all nations of the world, clearing the way for global harmony and lasting peace in the Middle East!

In other words, peace begins with the person in the mirror! It begins and ends with YOU!

Peace does not begin, peace will never begin, and peace has never has begun, with fund-raising dinners, politics, wars, intellectual debate, and religious and secular faith based organizations that have self-appointed themselves to represent the people.

Personal inner peace and personal accountability lead to world peace. Personal peace and personal health lead to global peace and healthy relationships. Everything is tied together. It’s all connected and interconnected. The only way to fight and win a war is to fight your own ego and open up the flow of Light into your own life. This then clears the global arteries for blessings and peace to flow between nations. You should read this paragraph a dozen times until it sinks in.

And the most amazing thing of all, is that all of this power is placed in the palm of your hands at Rosh Hashanah.

By the way, if this information is helping you in any way, please pass it on to as many people as possible. Tweet it and post it on Facebook.

We can create personal and global peace THIS YEAR, if enough people are empowered with this wisdom.

AND FINALLY, THE ULTIMATE SECRET REVEALED…

If you are still reading, you are now ready for a compelling secret. We will now present the most vital piece of information, at the very end of this article, for those who are sincere about changing their lives and the world.

The ancient Zohar revealed a secret technology that empowers the Shofar in unimaginable ways, ensuring that everyone’s effort will prove successful.

Only the Kabbalists of history were given the codes and secret meditations to launch the Shofar’s power. Therefore, the Zohar says that if we attend a Rosh Hashanah event and the person blowing the Shofar has not prepared himself for at least 3 days, meditating upon these ancient codes, then there is a real danger that the entire congregation will receive no benefit from the Shofar. The Zohar is even more hard-hitting and blunt regarding this issue: The Zohar says that if the rabbi or person blowing the Shofar, does not utilize the Kabblistic formulae and mediations, he will actually bring more judgment down upon his congregation.

Don’t blame me for this provocative statement.

The Zohar says it!

Can you imagine? For two thousand years we have been observing Rosh Hashanah, but because the Kabbalistic wisdom was not included, it has only brought judgment into the world. What a provocative statement by the Zohar!

So, people, wake up! Is it any wonder the world has suffered for so many millennia?

We’ve been blowing the shofar all over the world without any knowledge of Kabbalah. And so all those religiuos events have done nothing but bring judgment and pain into our world. History offers painful evidence that this is absolutely true. Without Kabbalah, there is no chance to use Rosh Hashanah as a tool to bring peace to our life and to the world.

The Zohar is, and always has been, the answer and solution to the world’s problems.

But don’t take my word for it. The greatest minds in history believed that deeply — Jew and non- jew, religious and secular.

People like Newton, Moses, Plato, Jesus, Muhammed, Pythagoras, Abraham and King David all understood the power and importance of the Zohar’s wisdom.

If you have read this far, then it means you are ready to learn one of the deeper secrets concerning Rosh Hashanah. Consider it a bonus secret for all your extra effort. Are you ready?

Here we go..

BONUS INSIGHT INTO ROSH HASHANAH

According to the Zohar, the human body is a mirror of the Ten Sfirot, which are the ten dimensions that comprise all reality. Our physical world represents just 1% of true reality, a world of chaos, in case you hadn’t  noticed. The remaining 99% of reality is the unseen source of all happiness, goodness, wisdom, healing and prosperity. All goodness flows from this hidden realm. Any chaos in our life is because we have disconnected from the source.

Each body part corresponds to another one of these hidden dimensions in this unseen spiritual world.

The Zohar says the esophagus corresponds to our physical world, known as Malchut.

Why?

Because physical food and liquid, the source of our nourishment, travel down our esophagus when ever we eat and drink. Therefore, it is associated with the material world.

So far pretty easy, yes? Okay. Next idea…

The Zohar also says the Trachea — or wind pipe — corresponds to the spiritual dimension known as Binah.

Why Binah?

Because Binah is a spiritual dimension that is so filled with Light, joy and Divine Energy. There is absolutely no need for food and drink to gain pleasure or nourishment. By the way, when Moses stood on Sinai, he reached the level of Binah, which is the source of the energy and Light that radiated from the Tablets.

The Light of Binah provides far more pleasure and nourishment than the human mind can possibly conceive. This is how powerful Binah is. Our trachea is a windpipe, which means no food or drink travels through it.

Okay. That is the set up. Below is a another illustration showing the correlation between the trachea and esophagus and its corresponding spiritual dimension (or sephirot).

Let’s now examine these two body parts in more detail. The Zohar reveals a profound connection and insight through the Hebrew spelling of each of these body parts. Read slow:

In the Hebrew alphabet, the esophagus is spelled VAV, SHIN, TET (Veshet).

Now watch this: The Zohar explains that when we are overly self-indulgent, allowing our ego and selfish desires to grow, the Hebrew letter VAV also grows and extends into the Hebrew letter NUN. In other words, the letter VAV is merely a shortened NUN.

When the VAV grows (the way our ego grows) and is then turned into a NUN, the letters that spell esophagus (VESHET) are now rearranged to spell SATAN (SIN, TET, NUN).

Veshet satan

Veshet Satan2

The Zohar is telling us that when our own physical desires run rampant and expand, and we choose the physical world over the spiritual, the negative force called, the Satan overcomes “all the limbs and the arteries” for all the 365 days of the solar year.

As our ego grows, as our reactive nature grows, as our mood swings grow, so too does the letter VAV in the word esophagus, because it represents the physical world. We turn that word into the word Satan and now this dark force envelopes our entire body for the entire year.

The Force of Satan (once again, indicated by rearranging of the word Veshet into Satan) now permeates our body and our physical life, creating chaos in our health, our careers, our marriage, or wherever he chooses.

THE SOLUTION

Guess what?  There’s a solution. There’s a way out of this mess. There is recourse for the remorseful heart—and it is found in the instrument of the Shofar. The Shofar, just like the the trachea, is a windpipe!

The trachea is a windpipe and the Shofar is a musical windpipe. And just like our trachea, only air enters the Shofar!

Thus, the Zohar says, in the same way that the trachea is the connection to Binah, the Shofar also connects us to Binah when it is blown!

Did you get that? Read it again, if you didn’t say “wow!”

By the way, on Yom Kippur, there is also no eating and drinking, once again signifying the dimension known as Binah and the unimaginable spiritual nourishment that it provides. Here’s another secret: the numerical value of the term “The Satan” is 364, which is 1 number short of the 365 days of the year. This is the one day of the year when Satan is banished from our world—Yom Kippur!

Blowing the Shofar at Rosh Hashanah and making our connections to Yom Kippur reestablishes our connection to Binah!

It’s all about technology, not tradition.

Here’s what happens: The letter NUN in the word SATAN is now reduced in size—just as we reduce our desire to consume food and drink on Yom Kippur and reduce our ego during Rosh Hashanah—and it reverts back into a VAV to again spell esophagus in Hebrew.

Satan and the force of death are now extracted from our arteries and limbs!

By the way, notice the uncanny similarity between the letter NUN, the Shofar and the human trachea:

IN SUMMARY

Throughout the year we have reacted. We have been rude. Angry. Fearful. Unkind. Impatient. All of these types of reactive emotions and actions have created blockages which have caused the Satan, the negative dark force and “fatty deposits” to block our arteries in our body, in our relationships and in our lives. This then extends to the rest of the world as well, in terms of the relationships between nations and people throughout the globe.

The blowing of the Shofar combined with true remorse in our hearts, along with our admittance of all of our ugly, pathetic egocentric behavior, clears the blockages. We connect to the realm of Binah, which sends forth a surge of purifying energy and Light into our body and soul, cleansing  us and eradicating the blockages and darkness.

The letter NUN, in the word SATAN, is reduced back to a VAV, spelling VESHET, which is our esophagus, the physical reality of our being. Satan is vanquished from our being and we are now cleansed and ready for an amazing, productive and prosperous new year.

All you need to do to activate this power is rise above your ego and the uncertainty that is now trying to convince you that you should not attend Rosh Hashanah. This is how the Satan keeps you imprisoned in a world of chaos.

By the way, notice the uncanny similarity between the letter Vav, the Shofar and the human trachea:

    Profound wisdom!

I have realized through experience that it doesn’t matter if we eat the best food, exercise or meditate, it matters most what energy and consciousness we put out; the suppressed or expressed judgment we harbour internally and project onto others will determine our overall health and well-being in the long run.

Your observations and references to the Zohar’s teachings hold resonance for me.

Thank you for sharing these insights

  12. Andrew says:

I’m not Jew, nor follow any other dogma. But I do fast quite regularly for health reasons, more than just physical health. Indeed this type of hardcore, ingrained, fire that is built from such actions/states of mind is clearly cleaned out from the early stages of fasting.

This article sheds a completly new light on it. Quite different from all that esoteric kabbalah type of stuff. I wonder where I could find material that goes deeper into this…maybe get some powerful practce out of this study as opposed to just basic knowledge.

  13. Ronnie Wells says:

For credibility sake of the article, you should have proof read the last sentence of this part 2. The similarity should have been between the VAV, Shofar and Trachea, not NUN.

  14. Susann Laverie says:

Thank you Billy for this wonderful wisdom shared so clearly. You have lit a fire in my over the last two years that grows more and more every day. I wish with all my heart I could be with you at Rosh Hashanah this year. Maybe next year, who knows. I will be celebrating with my daughter and son-in-law and sharing your wisdom. Much love.
